Key components of the PMKVY plan
1. Short Term Training
PMKVY Short term training given in training centers (TCs) is expected to benefit Indian nationality candidates who are either school / college dropouts or unemployed. In addition to providing training according to the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF), TC Soft will also provide training in skills, entrepreneurship, financial and digital literacy. Training duration varies per task role, ranging between 150 and 300 hours.
2. Skills and Employment MEla
Social and community mobility is extremely important for the success of PMKVY. Active participation of the community ensures transparency and accountability, and helps leverage the cumulative knowledge of the community for better functioning. Correspondingly, PMKVY confers special importance to the participation of targeted beneficiaries through a defined mobility process. TP will hold skill and employment fair every six months with press / media coverage
3. Placement guidelines
PMKVY envisages linking the qualifications, aspirations and knowledge of skilled employees born with employment opportunities and demands in the market. The PMKVY TC needs to make every effort to provide opportunities for appointment to trained and certified candidates under the scheme. TP will also support entrepreneurship development.
