bharatkeveer.gov.in portal to help families of martyrs of India

bbharatkeveer.gov.in or Bharat Ke Veer is a new web portal by the central government to donate the martyrs and families of Indian Armed Forces to the general public. Using the Bharatkeveer.gov.in portal, anyone who wants to support the martyrs’ families, can donate online.

The web portal and app have been launched to give tributes to the braves who give their lives to protect their country and citizens by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The main objective of Bharat Ke Veer Portal is to enable the general public to donate the funds of the martyrs directly to the account of individual brave or online Bharat Ke Veer Corpus. Following are the major forces involved in India’s heroic portal for the major contribution of Braveheart to the following Armed Forces.

  1. Assam Rifles (AR) engaged in border guarding along Indo-Myanmar border, as well as in counter insurgency operations in the North East.
  2. Border Security Force (BSF) guards Indias borders with Pakistan and Bangladesh, and are also deployed for anti insurgency operations.
  3. Central Industrial Security Force (CISF)provides security to the key sectors including Airports, Metro systems, important industries in the public and private Sector, heritage monuments, Government buildings and security to protected persons.
  4. Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is the primary force for internal secruity including anti naxal operations, counter insurgency duties in J&K and North East, and Law & Order problems.
  5. Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) guards Indias borders with China. Specially trained to operate in high altitude mountainous terrain, it is also engaged in internal security duties from time to time.
  6. National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) is for specialized response to natural and man-made disasters, saving lives and livelihood and prepares communities in disaster resilience and disaster risk reduction.
  7. National Security Guard (NSG)is a Special Force mandated to conduct counter-terrorist, counter-hijack, and hostage-rescue operations as well as provide `mobile security to designated protectees.
  8. Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB)with the motto of “Service Security Brotherhood” is primarily mandated to guard Indias borders with Nepal and Bhutan. The force is also performing internal security duties and is deployed to deal with LWE / Counter-insurgency in many states.

How to donate online on India’s bharatkeveer portal

To make online donations / contribution, you must first go to Bharat Ke Veer Portal at bharatkeveer.gov.in

You will then need to click the “CLICK HERE TO CONTRIBUTE” button from the homepage.

If you want to contribute to a personal account, you will have to click on the “Bravehearts” link in the menu or if you want to contribute to the Bharat Ke Veer corpus fund, click on the “Bharat ke Veer” link in the menu.

On clicking the “Braveheart’s” link, you can select individual soldiers from the displayed list or do a search and make the desired contribution.
If you want to donate to “Bharat Ke Veer Corpus”, fill out the details and amount shown in the form below.

After the contribution, anyone can download a certificate of their contribution by entering their email ID and phone number on this link.

The amount donated through India’s brave portal, Bharatkeveer.gov.in, will be deposited in the ‘Next of Kin’ account of the soldiers of the Central Armed Police Force / Central Paramilitary Force.


  • You can donate directly to individual braveheart’s account (upto max of ₹ 15 lakhs) or may donate to the Bharat Ke Veer corpus.
  • To ensure maximum coverage, a cap of ₹ 15 lakhs is envisaged per braveheart and the donor would be alerted if the amount exceeds ₹ 15 lakhs, so that they can choose to either decrease their contribution or divert part of the contribution to another bravehearts account, or to the Bharat Ke Veer corpus.
  • Bharat Ke Veer corpus would be managed by a commitee made up of eminent persons of repute and senior government officials, in equal number, who would decide to disburse the fund equitably to the bravehearts family on need basis.
