Fit India Movement 2019
Fitness has always been an integral part of our culture, but now there is apathy towards fitness issues. A few decades ago, a normal person would walk, cycle or run for about 8 km to 10 km a day. But today’s generation is moving towards video gaming and other sports that do not involve physical activity. The use of technology has reduced physical activity. Hence to promote the culture of physical functioning, the central government has launched the Fit India Movement. The Indian government will take this movement to new heights with the help of our fellow Indians. PM Modi said that he is very happy that this movement is being started on the birth anniversary of our hockey magician Major Dhyanchand. The Prime Minister said that people of any profession can make themselves skilled in their profession if they are mentally and physically fit. If the body is fit, you will be mentally fit. Sports have a direct relationship with fitness, but the ‘Fit India Movement’ aims to go beyond fitness. Fitness is not just a word, but an essential pillar for a healthy and prosperous life.
