Pradhan Mantri Minority Scholarship Scheme 2019-20

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced a new scholarship scheme for minority students. Under this PM Modi minority scholarship scheme, the central government will provide scholarships to nearly 5 million minority students (including 50% girls) in the next 5 years.

Under the PM Modi Minority Scholarship Scheme scholarship will be given for pre-matriculation, post-matriculation, vocational and technical courses for study.

All the girls of minority communities, who have gone out of school, will be linked to education and employment through “bridge courses” from reputed educational institutions of the country.

Prime Minister’s scholarship scheme for minorities, will eliminate the disease of communalism and appeasement politics and create a healthy inclusive development environment. Bridge courses of prestigious academic institutions will start for school girls associated with minority communities.

Pradhan Mantri Madarsa Program 2019

All the teachers from all over the country will be trained by various institutes in various subjects such as Hindi, English, Math, Science and Computer. The PM Madrasa program 2019-2020 will enable these teachers to provide mainstream education to the madarsa students. The seminary program will be started in the month of July 2019.

Pradhan Mantri Padho Badho Awareness Campaign

The central government will launch a “Padho Badho” awareness campaign especially to encourage girls from minority communities to pursue education. The main focus is on areas where people do not send their children to schools for socio-economic reasons.

The Padho Badho campaign will focus mainly on girls and will include Nookak Drama (street plays), short films and cultural programs. This campaign will be started in Phase 1 in 60 minority concentrated districts of the country.

The Indian government will also provide free coaching for competitive examinations like Central and State Administrative Services, Banking Services, Staff Selection Commission, Railways. All people belonging to the EWS category from minority communities like Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists and Parsis will be eligible.
